This Privacy Policy explains how Devon Stables s.r.o. processes personal data in connection with the website devonstables.com and our services, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation, "GDPR").

2. Processing of Personal Data

A) Contact form and inquiries

When you contact us through the contact form on our website, by email or by phone, we process: name, email address, phone number (optional), the topic you are interested in and the content of your message (e.g. information about the horse you are interested in).

Purpose: answering your inquiry and further communication about horses and our services.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract.
Retention period: no longer than 36 months after our last communication.

Messages sent through the contact form are processed on our web server and delivered to our company email inbox. They are not used for marketing or newsletters.

B) Sale, purchase and export of horses

When you buy or sell a horse through us or use our shipping and documentation services, we process: name, contact details, billing address, delivery address of the horse and information necessary for veterinary examinations, transport and export documentation.

Purpose: performance of the contract, arranging veterinary examinations, transport, export paperwork and customs, keeping business and accounting records.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – performance of a contract, and Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR – compliance with legal obligations (accounting and tax).
Retention period: for the duration of our cooperation and then for the period required by Czech accounting and tax laws (up to 10 years).

3. Recipients of Personal Data

We process your data primarily ourselves and never sell it to third parties. To the extent necessary, your data may be shared with:

our web hosting and email provider (operation of the website and contact form)
veterinarians carrying out examinations of the horse
transport and shipping companies, airlines and customs agents
state veterinary and customs authorities (health certificates and export documents)
our accountant and tax advisor

4. Transfers Outside the EU

When a horse is exported outside the European Union (e.g. to the USA, Canada or Asia), we transfer your data to carriers, agents and authorities in the destination country only to the extent necessary for the transport and import of the horse (Art. 49(1)(b) GDPR – transfer necessary for the performance of a contract).

5. Third-Party Services on the Website

All fonts, images and scripts on our website are stored on our own web server. The website does not load any content from third-party services, so no personal data is sent to third parties when you browse it.

Links to our Facebook, Instagram and YouTube profiles only take you to these platforms; their own privacy policies apply there.

6. Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights:

Right of access – to know what personal data we process about you
Right to rectification – correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
Right to erasure – deletion of your data under the conditions set by the GDPR
